Welcome!
My name is Scott
Lavack and I am pleased to be teaching grade three for the first
time at ISK this year. I have been at ISK since 2005 and had
been teaching grade four throughout my tenure here. I am
Canadian and spent the bulk of my teaching carreer, over ten
years, working in the suburbs of Vancouver. I have
taught grades three through six as well as computers, P.E. and
French.
My philosophy of teaching is that
each child is given the opportunity and nurtured to learn to their
full potential in a safe and encouraging environment. My
expectations of my students are that they always try their best and
give their best effort daily. I will encourage this of them each
and every day. The grade 3 curriculum encourages students to
explore their independent growth, both academically and socially.
In my lessons, I try my best to teach to each students learning
style and to meet their specific learning needs.
3L is a busy, happy class where we have created a caring, curious
learning community.
