March 25th - HOLIDAY HOURS
Enjoy Your Library This Holiday!
The library will be open during the school break, so come browse
our shelves and check out all the things we offer that you may not
normally have time to enjoy. We subscribe to approximately
100 magazines and we have over 2000 videos/dvds and over 20,000
books. We also have a small collection of books in Spanish
and French, in both the Elementary and Secondary collection.
Many of our books are purchased to support our curriculum, but we
also provide recreational reading and books on hobbies for all
ages. Some people say we have the best collection of books in
the country. Parents are entitled to library cards and can
check out up to ten items at a time.
Come check us out!
Our opening hours during the break will be:
Saturday, 27th March: 8am - 12noon
Monday-Thursday (29th Mar- 1st Apr): 8am - 4:00pm

TT - March 5th - HELP FOR STUDENTS WRITING
PAPERS
The library has had a number of queries about CITATIONS lately, as
seniors scramble to finalize their IB essays. We are happy to
help students but many of their queries can be answered by using
NOODLETOOLS, which is available to them online, from home or
school.
NOODLETOOLS is bibliography/citation maker with note-taking
facilities. Students can use it to find the proper format for
citing any type of source and to create Works Cited lists and
parenthetical references. It answers many of the questions
that come with these tasks and speeds up the job. ISK
students may set up an account to store their research notes and
bibliographic details by following these instructions:
1. Go to www.noodletools.com/login.php
2. Choose “Create a Personal ID”
3. Choose the first option under Subscription
Type (“Account linked to school/library”) and hit
“Register”
4. Now you will need to enter ISK’s
username and password:
Username: isk
Password: library
5. From there, you set up your own account with
your own password
